Dave Mullany

Dave Mullany started playing guitar in 1968 in upstate New York, near Woodstock where he grew up watching local musicians like The Band, Paul Butterfield, Bonnie Raitt, Van Morrison, Orleans, and NRBQ. After a decade of playing in bands, Dave moved to New York City. Here he developed his musical style playing with members of John Lennon's group The Plastic Ono/Elephant's Memory Band. With the band Rogue, Dave spent the next 10 years playing in the clubs and studios in New York City including a Lennon tribute recording session with Shawn Colvin.

Dave has performed shows with Muddy Waters, Jerry Garcia, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee, Bo Diddley, Mike Love of the Beach Boys, Tyrone Downey of the Wailers and Jorma Kaukonen from Hot Tuna in venues such as The Palladium, The Savoy, The Lone Star Cafe, Roseland Ballroom and Studio 54. As a member of Bo Diddley's band, Dave toured in New England including shows at New Haven's infamous Toad's Place. The band, Rogue, was featured in the 1983 movie, "Hell's Angels Forever" with Willie Nelson, Bo Diddley and Jerry Garcia. Dave also played Folk City & the Blues Brothers club in New York City.
