Started playing and arranging for
fingerstyle guitar in the 60’s. First recording of a ragtime guitar piece
was Maple Leaf Rag in 1969. In the 70’s Lasse continued to record several albums for Kicking Mule Records. The music on these records were mainly classic ragtime for guitar, solo or duet. In the beginning of the 80’s Lasse recorded King Porter Stomp-the music of Jelly Roll Morton arranged for the guitar. In the 80’s many of Lasse’s arrangements began to appear in Stefan Grossman ’s Guitar Workshop books released by Mel Bay and Lasse’s music was re-released on CD by Shanachie. In the 90’s Lasse’s book with Jelly Roll Morton tunes came out and in 2003 his latest – Early Jazz For Fingerstyle Guitar was released. Lasse has been teaching fingerstyle guitar since the beginning of the 90’s and for the first time with Acoustic Sessions in Amsterdam 2003. |
