Yesterday, after what seemed like a pretty heavy schedule, Bob was back at the airport heading home. My impressions were for a first time visit, that he was very well received here all over the country. Here on the east coast I caught up with the one night show in Canberra, a very good crowd appreciated a sweaty, fist-pounding, foot-stomping powerhouse performance from Bob, right down to the Minnie the Moocher singalong and the charango exit! In Sydney a couple of informal, impromtu guest spots among friends on the last night went over like a long, cold beer on a hot day. :-) Parting words went something like.. I think we may get a few more at IGS from down under next year. I don't know--if Geo. W Jr wins the election, we may be outta here! Australia has a lot going for it! I hope to get my travel notes onto my website this week, where I will write about this tour, rather than clogging up IGS with my personal stuff. Home until Dec 11, then to South africa!
