I can live with that, Mary Flower is playin the kind of blues that is close to my heart, I“ll get into some research on what on earth Piedmont Blues is one of these days. I really like what she does. UK? PS: Merry Xmas in Danish is: GLĘDELIG JUL, say after me please: GLĘDELIG JUL.. ;-) The "Ę" is pronounced like the first E in "Elderly" D is soft D like the TH sound in THose.. Richard Chizek Member Posts: 463 From: Republic of Chizekistan Registered: Aug 2000	posted 12-21-2001 12:32 Hey Finn - 'Piedmont' refers to a guitar style which features an alternating, synchopated bass line, and easily discernable melody, as opposed to 'Delta' or 'Country' Blues, which tends to stress a simple, steady bass pulse over the melody. Another IGS faculty member, John Cephas, is also a practioner of this style. I have got some good stuff from them ...they do a Newsletter every so often which is a good read. Lots of used disks also and other materials too.
