hey folks I need to buy an mp3 players to start recording lessons, don't know a thing about them,price ,type ect. anyone got some good simple advice

There is some history to this topic. Just search for threads with the word recorder in them.

The major brands/names of MP3 player with recording featres are Creative Labs Nomad, Archos, RipFlash.

Beware of many devices listed as recorders that only record in a low quality voice mode.
