They are using the internet slang developed for use in chat rooms. For us old farts it has a lot in common with the numerology and circumlocution used in CB-speak. I dont think it makes a lot of sense to use it on a forum like this because this is not a conversational medium where we are in a hurry to get our point across. In fact our forum is valued by its many visitors around the world for its careful, sensitive, diverse but irreverent prose.
oo
over and out, good buddies

p.s.
Here is another example from a recent posting. This one is instructive : it relies on numbers like a lot of those California number plates I have my kids try to figure out.:

"He red, u no who u r, jus thought id say hi,
i'll add more to me song l8r, we need to get together soonm and have another jam. have a nice bath, c ya l8r, "

My post was done in jest (see the little smiley thing) but I do think that getting used to communicating like that is not a good thing.

You might want to check out Fred Kelly's picks www.fredkellyspicks.com . I really like the thumbpicks he makes.

Have u ever tried finger picking, i very rarely use plectrums, i find it very difficult to co-ordinate with them, finger-picking may or may not be your thing but i would say try it, you may be enlightened, sorry to get off the point but it may be worth trying,
