In that line up... the second and fourth (from either direction) remind me of my Mom's (and I think it was Grandma's before she took it up) old guitar. It was a little bitty thing (but I'm used to dreadnaughts)that had palm trees and a hula girl stenciled on it. Looks pretty thirties-ish in style. Uncle Phil's guitar was a larger guitar, painted grey, with cowboys 'round the camp fire. That one on the right end looks a lot like it, matter of fact, now that I look at the line up.

Haven't got a clue where these guitars are now... don't know as any pictures could easily be found in the family archives. Due to the habit of the era... taking pictures from 3 miles away... they wouldn't be very clear or informative anyway.

Didn't think a thing about 'em back then. Go figure.

It is a beautiful example of a Stromberg Voisinet (1921- 1932) which evolved into Kay. I am writing a history of Kay guitars which may be viewed here as a work in Progress.
