Hi, could someone please tell me a specific lap steel guitar amp model that works just fine with a fender lap steel champ unmodified.

What type of sounds do you want to make (clean? overdriven?) How loud do you want to play?

I find the Fender tube amps sound best to me with that type of lap steel. If you want a new one, either the Blues Junior or the Pro Junior are good choices. Probably the best amp out there in my opinion is the Deluxe Reverb.

I use a 30W Peavey Delta Blues with a 15" speaker. It's okay, it produces sound..

Finding the perfect amp for a lap steel is a never ending process. I've gone through a number of amps. My current favorite is a Rocky Top head going through an Avatar cab with 2 15" speakers. My current set up is double 12 superslide into PODxt and left and right outputs of pod going into 2 inputs of the Rocky Top. I've just now being playing the Miles Davis tune All Blues using a Leslie organ setting on the Pod. Pretty amazing sound.
