Hi, this is my first posting on here, so apologies if this type of question has been asked on here a few times b4. I bought a crafter EA-70C-EQ semi accoustic about 10 years ago and played for about 3 yrs, and then what with new family etc I stopped playing all of a sudden. Anyway about 2 months ago I got back into playing guitar BIG TIME and can't put it down.... don't know why I stopped in the first place. So the big question is, I would like an accoustic with a little more ooommmpphh if you know what I mean! the crafter is a great guitar but because its a semi accoustic it doesn't have a very deep sound for an accoustic guitar. Next one I buy will be a normal accoustic and I want to spend around the £500.00 mark - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also while I'm on the subject, any idea's what the crafter is worth? I paid around £260.00 I think about 10yrs ago... its in great condition, and is wooden backed.. cheers! IP: Logged |

Crafter isn't a very highly thought of a make. Decent, yes, but not great. http://guitar24.de/ sells them, check for prices as new there. As for a new acoustic... well there are a zillion makes out there, you do the pick. You want a dreadnought or jumbo? Plenty of good makes made from Asia now, but I somehow still prefer N.A. or European production, like Seagull (and other Lasido/LaPatrie brands), Alhambra, Larrivee, etc. I bought online over from Germany, chose a Seagull. Alhambra intriques me, but they are a bit pricier. But really, there dozens of good makes to choose from. IP: Logged |
