Try contacting Yuris Zeltins......619-283-2700.
If he can't do it,he can give you a good lead and network you to somebody else.

Larry Stevens in Michigan. Worth the extra postage. Has done work on a lot of Nationals and has had a run of wooden ones lately.
Has done 4 old Nationals for me including an El Trovador.

Another "+1" for Marc Schoenberger. Even worth the cost of sending my National from Europe to California in my opinion. Has restored two Nationals for me, with amazing results. Recommended by National Resophonic, Bob Brozman and last, but not least, me.
Very easy to deal with, will answer any (stupid) question, and if I uy another National in need of service, I will certainly contact Marc again. Can't do any better than Marc.

Edit: Here's Marc's new webpage: http://www.nationalguitarrepair.com/

As an old boss of mine used to say when I'd ask him a question regarding some stone or tile installation we were working on, "It ain't rocket scientry !!"

Another great National set-up and repair guru is Steve Olson at Elderly. He also has his own cone pickup system and he's one of the guys who're doing the Duco paint finishes. Excellent work that would measure up against anyone who does National's.

Hey eskimo, are you sure you're not working for the Michigan Chamber of Commerce?

(lastdays -- unless you want to drop off and pick up your guitar at the shop, does the state make a difference? Are you thinking that the less time spent in shipping, the better the chances of your guitar surviving unscathed?)

The Guitar Doc (Paul Vilagi) in Pacifica, CA 650.355.2582

Don Young of NRP recommended him to me at the beginning of the year and I have had him work on several old Nationals and a couple other guitars. That includes a neck reset on an old Triolian. His work is excellent.

Another "+1" for Marc Schoenberger. When I bought my Aragon I asked Bob Brozman who to entrust it to for the warped neck. Marc was his recomendation. Since then Marc has worked on several notecannons.com instruments including tricones, ukes, wooden Triolians and the engraved early 1920's National banjo that I feature at notecannons. All his work was fantastic... A++!

If you are in California it's a 'no brainer'... Send it to Marc!
